How far in advance can I book a day tour online?

You can book tours online 24 hours prior to the departure time. If you want to book with fewer advances than 24 hours we recommend calling us: +251 910 64 22 30)

Can I buy many different tours at once?

You can buy as many tours as you like online. If you are buying multiple tours make sure that they don’t intersect with one another and that you have enough time between each tour. Assure that some extra time to account for delays caused by road conditions and weather especially in the wintertime etc.

Where will I be picked up for the tour?

We pick up and drop off from airport, hotels and guesthouses in Ethiopia. If you book online and you wish to be picked up for a day tour make sure you fill in the necessary information when you book online.

What should I wear?

Sturdy shoes for Trekkers and a warm outdoor wear should be worn when travelling in Ethiopia during rainy season. We highly recommend getting sunglasses and a hat for all areas of Ethiopia. Pack light clothes for the dry season.

Do I need to bring my passport on tours and how do I get VISA?

It is important to bring your passport on tours. You can get your visa from the Ethiopian embassy or a tourist visa upon arrival. (A few countries are allowed to receive their tourist visa on arrival) if you enter Ethiopia by land, you should obtain your visa in advance from your local embassy.

What is the general smoking policy in Ethiopia?

Smoking is prohibited indoor everywhere in public places. There are special smoking areas outside most public places with an ashtray for cigarette buds.

What languages do your offer on your tours?

Our tours and excursions are by default guided in English. However, we have several tours that for guided in additional languages like German, Italian and French.

What is the safety and security situation?

Ethiopia is one of the safest country in Africa and politically stable. However tourist should be aware of pickpockets in crowed areas and market places.

When is the best time to visit Ethiopia?

There are two main seasons: dry season from October to May and rainy season from beginning of June to mid of September. In the southern parts of Ethiopia, the main rains are from March to June. The Danakil lowlands in the Afar region have a hot, dry climate.


The Ethiopian food is a communal dish of EnJera with stews of meat and vegetables. Addis Ababa is very much an international city and visitors can enjoy all types of cuisine. Outside of the capital, food options are limited. The major tourist destinations usually have good-western fare. Enjera: an enormous, slightly sour pancake made of the indigenous and nutritious grain (Tef) served with wat, a usually meaty stew, such as Tibs or Kitfo. Bottled water is now widely throughout Ethiopia, even in the remote areas. In the most towns an assortment of fresh-squeezed juices are available. Lager beer is also widely available and unique flavor of Ethiopian organic coffee.
